JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team. The role involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customers and ensuring proper delivery and unloading according to customer invoices and company standards. This position offers stable routes, well-maintained equipment, medical benefits, paid training, and potential for growth within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unloading products and placing them in designated customer storage areas
- Completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring food safety protocols are met
- Developing good relationships with customers by providing excellent service
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, safe lifting and delivery practices. Ability to drive over long distances, communicate effectively with customers, and handle various types of products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The role requires lifting, pushing, and moving products, as well as climbing in and out of a tractor and trailer. Specific vision abilities and physical capabilities are needed to perform the job tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, overtime hours, and weekend work. The job may also involve working in confined spaces and around moving mechanical parts.
