Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Folsom, CA

**Must-Have:** At least 1 year of LDRP or L&D experience; prefer 3 years in these settings. Will consider L&D only but not candidates with only postpartum experience. Prefer scrub experience for c-sections. Will accept first-time travelers.
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a Family Birthing Center with LDRP settings.
- Understand and follow AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2 L&D, 1:1 delivery, and 1:4 Mother/Baby couplets.
- Handle low-risk patients, 36 weeks and above; may assist twin deliveries. High-risk patients are transferred to a higher level of care.
- Expectation to circulate in the OR; orientation provided if needed.
- Comfortable working in settings without NICU in-house; must be proficient in NRP.
- Titrate drips, specifically pitocin and occasionally insulin.
- Serve in an environment where charge nurses typically do not take patient assignments, but may do so if needed.
- Collaborate with perinatal techs, available as scrub support for c-sections.
- Work in teamwork with an OB in-house 24/7; anesthesia is on-call with a 20-minute response time if no patients are present.
- Respiratory therapists attend every delivery and manage required respiratory equipment.
- Use GE monitors and perform charting using the Cerner system.
- Fulfill two weekend shifts per four-week schedule and engage in holiday rotations.
- May float to other facilities as needed; rare mid-shift float.
- Complete modules required before the start of the assignment (3-4 hours, not billable).
- Orientation consists of 12 hours prior to active duty.
