Job Title: Vehicle Operator/Driver

Reports To: Lead Driver or Operations Manager
OVERVIEW/PURPOSE:
ATS Trans LLC (ATS) is the foremost transportation service in the Puget Sound, WA area, serving those with special needs, as well as customers seeking point-to-point driver services.
The Vehicle Operator/Driver's primary purpose is to operate a passenger vehicle in a safe, dependable, professional, and timely manner while assisting passengers to various destinations. The assigned vehicle may be lift-equipped mini-busses, vans, or sedans.
Essential Functions:

- Operate Company vehicles as assigned to transport passengers to their destinations on time.
- Operate wheelchair lifts as needed.
- Assist passengers when boarding and disembarking vehicles and to and from the vehicles including the ability to maneuver passenger and wheelchair over a 6" curb and up typical wheelchair ramps.
- Relate to, and handle various passenger personalities and recognize passenger needs.
- Maintain and wear the appropriate company uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Effectively communicate with the dispatch center staff.
- Competently utilize assigned GPS and mapping tools to ensure the most expeditious and safe routes.
- Communicate access and/or other service issues (safety, etc.) to supervisor.
- Reports accidents/incidents immediately to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. Assists injured persons from first-aid kit until these services arrive. Completes company accident/incident report.
- Maintain passenger records via the driver tablet.
- Maintain vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports.
- Keep vehicle's interior and exterior clean.
- Responsible for keeping updated on and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for keeping up to date on required training.
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 5 years driving experience.
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- 3 years of clean driving record
- Successful completion of required 7day company provided training program.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Demonstrated excellent attendance record

- Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting to 50 pounds.
- The position requires finger dexterity, sense of touch, gripping with fingers and hands, ability to see and to hear voice conversations.
