Pay: $19/hr
Shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm
As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in our production team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials and products. You'll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support our production processes, helping deliver our innovative packaging and logistics solutions smoothly and on time. Your role is crucial in maintaining high safety, efficiency, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport materials and products within the facility.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, ensuring timely delivery to production lines and storage areas.
- Support inventory control by accurately recording material movements and keeping storage areas organized.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability and address production issues.
- Inspect materials and products for quality, reporting any defects or discrepancies.
- Follow strict safety protocols and environmental practices, including proper PPE use and safe equipment operation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment, reporting major issues to maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
- Preferred experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment in a production or warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification and/or license in compliance with local regulations.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, environmentally-conscious setting.
- Capability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the team.
