Job description
Tri-State Tree Service is searching for a skilled CDL Driver/ tree groundsman to join our company. The CDL Driver/groundsman duties include driving company vehicles, reporting to the foreman, assisting teamwork, collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. You should be able to work with a variety of crew members.
To be successful as a CDL Driver/groundsman, you should be physically strong and able to work in extreme weather conditions. Outstanding CDL Driver/groundsman should be able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all maintenance tasks to the highest standard.
Responsibilities :
Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman.
Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
Drives trucks or operates other equipment as assigned. (log movers, stump grinders, etc.)
Services trucks and equipment. Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Reports the need for repairs of truck and equipment to crew leader.
Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent voice communication with workers aloft. Participates in weekly safety meeting and daily job briefings.
Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies including the use of PPE. Helps enforce job safety practices.
Unloads, lays out, prepares and stows materials, tools and equipment at work site.
Works from the ground using handsaws, poles saws. Must know or be willing to learn how to properly use a chainsaw on the ground.
Communicates with the client throughout the job and upon completion, using the job checklist.
Performs breakdown and clean-up duties at the work site.
Operates company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with the safety policy manual.
Reports all accidents/damage/malfunctions to management immediately.
Ensures trucks and equipment are secured while on job sites.
Communicates and reports any account problems or customer complaints, including damage to customer property, to the supervisor and/or owner immediately.
Follows daily work instructions in an efficient manner.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous work experience as a CDL Driver/tree groundsman or similar.
Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing.
Valid Driver’s License required, CDL Required
Experience in Tree Care desired
Clean Driving record
Complete DOT requirements
Superb communication skills.
The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
The willingness to work during unfavorable weather conditions.
A positive attitude.

Salary: $180.00 - $225.00 per day
