This is what makes OEM a unique place to work! * Remote Opportunity, Work From Anywhere In The U.S.! * Summary The primary responsibility of the Technical Trainer is to provide both theoretical and hands-on training to OEM Training Institute customers who utilize overhead and mobile cranes. This instruction takes place in a classroom and laboratory setting. Additionally, the Technical Trainer collaborates with colleagues to create instructional materials, ensuring they align with the business's evolving learning requirements. Responsibilities: Conduct training sessions in a classroom and laboratory setting, ensuring engagement and knowledge retention among participants. Conduct occasional webinar training sessions. Administer assessments, quizzes, and tests to evaluate the understanding and proficiency of participants. Assist in developing and updating instructional materials for the technical training curriculum. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of the technical training program and assist in making improvements. Collaborate with other trainers to stay updated on industry regulations and incorporate relevant changes into the training sessions and materials. Adapt training materials to meet the learning needs of the business and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement. Complete all pertinent training session documentation to ensure prompt invoicing. Serve as a resource for technical questions originating from the field. Assist in safety training as needed. Other duties as required. Required Skills and Competencies: Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to break down complex technical concepts into easily understandable components. Education and Experience: A trade school degree (equivalent education or field experience) in an industrial subject is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the overhead and mobile crane industry. Proven experience as a technical trainer or in a similar role. Additional Requirements: This position requires extensive travel, up to 75% in the US and Canada. Use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
