Job Summary
The enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) is accountable for intake, execution, and managing the oversight of strategic programs and projects approved and budgeted by L.A. Care (LAC) Leadership and the Board of Governors. The Portfolio Delivery team ensures the timely execution of programs and projects in support of LAC’s strategic direction.
The Program Manager III is responsible for managing a portfolio of programs and projects, maximizing ROI and value delivery, and ensuring overall performance quality and adherence to scope, schedules, resources, and portfolio budgets.
Duties
- Set priorities related to assigned program enterprise portfolio projects and associated project timelines.
- Drive successful portfolio outcomes in support of strategic business initiatives.
- Accountable for managing program schedule, cost/budget, resources, quality, scope, and business benefit.
- Responsible for holding project work teams accountable for on-time delivery of assigned scope.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience
Required: At least 6-8 years of relevant Program Management, Health Care Administration, Research OR Clinical field work experience in an organizational setting.
Preferred: At least 4 years of experience in Program Management within a Managed Care Organization or Top 10 management consulting role in the Healthcare industry.
Skills
- Demonstrated success managing programs with multiple, large scale, diverse and complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of program management processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership, business, and technology communities.

Preferred: Program Management Professional (PgMP)
