Job Description: Senior Project Manager - Power Delivery (Transmission/Distribution/Substations)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage our power delivery projects. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects related to power generation, transmission, and distribution. Your role will involve ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals.
• Budget and Resource Management:
  • Estimate project costs and manage budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project execution.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Implement proactive measures to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Schedule Management:
  • Create and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress against milestones and deadlines.
  • Adjust schedules and resource allocation as necessary to accommodate changes and ensure project continuity.
• Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Establish quality standards and ensure adherence throughout project phases.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to uphold project integrity and client satisfaction.
• Communication and Reporting:
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for management and clients, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Project Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification is a plus.
• Proven experience (X years) in project management within the power generation, transmission, or distribution sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
