Technical Delivery Manager

As a Technical Delivery Manager (Project Manager) at Paysera, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of managed project(s), ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality project outputs. You will manage and lead a team of 5-10 specialists, taking accountability for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects. Acting as the main point of communication between various teams, stakeholders, and tribe members, you will ensure alignment with Paysera's strategic objectives and drive projects to successful completion. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating efforts, mitigating risks, and maintaining project momentum to meet organizational goals.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage project plans in accordance with PMBOK 6th Edition standards;
2. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget;
3. Leverage expertise in Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and microservice architecture to guide technical teams;
4. Ensure the technical soundness of web and mobile app architecture, and provide basic programming support using AI tools like GitHub Copilot;
5. Foster effective communication and collaboration with teams, including developers, QAs, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders;
6. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical team members to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals;
7. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them;
8. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize impact on project delivery;
9. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues;
10. Maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure transparency and accountability;
11. Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and roles;
12. Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze technical and business requirements and collaborate with Business Analyst;
13. Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and met through effective communication and project delivery;
14. Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions;
15. Collaborate with QA teams to develop testing strategies and resolve issues promptly;
16. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all project activities;
17. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project information to diverse audiences;
18. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and discussions to drive project progress and decision-making;
19. Expect to perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or a similar tool to enhance efficiency and productivity.

What we’re looking for:

1. Expertise in project management according to PMBOK 6th Edition standards;
2. Proven track record of completing software development projects with tangible results and achievements;
3. Strong understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and microservice architecture;
4. Basic programming skills and ability to write simple applications using AI tools like GitHub Copilot;
5. Knowledge of web and mobile app architecture;
6. Familiarity with servers and data center operations;
7. Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management;
8. Demonstrable experience in managing complex software development projects from inception to completion;
9. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred;
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills;
11. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers (Developers, QAs), product managers, business analysts and stakeholders;
12. Strong analytical skills for assessing technical and business requirements;
13. Experience in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies;
14. Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is a must;
15. Fluency in English;
16. Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools like ChatGPT and other technologies, demonstrating a capability to seamlessly integrate these into daily tasks.
