  • WORK HOURS : 6:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.
    WORK YEAR: 12-Month
    COMPENSATION : $19.20 Per Hour plus benefits.
    *Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
    UNION MEMBERSHIP :
    This position is represented by the Oswego Custodial/Maintenance Association (OCMA) and requires payment to OCMA of membership dues or fair share of the costs of the services rendered by the Association.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities
    • Must have a good driving record
    • Must wear a uniform and district ID tag daily
    • Certificate of good health signed by a licensed physician
    • Must have the ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable for assigned responsibilities

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
    To contribute to the smooth flow of information and communication. To assist in the operations that ensure full efficiency in the distribution of district supplies, materials, and equipment.
    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Delivers all outgoing central mail to U.S. Post Office.
    2. Prepares parcels for mailing or shipping and receives and distributes shipments from trucks and delivery services.
    3. Receives and delivers interoffice communications.
    4. Delivers communications, supplies, and materials to all district buildings on a daily basis and to the Education Service Region on a periodic basis.
    5. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
    6. Cooperates with and assists in the delivery of cafeteria foods and supplies.
    7. Verifies the accuracy of shipments.
    8. Stores items according to established procedures.
    9. Assists with keeping an accurate accounting of warehouse stock.
    10. Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
    11. Takes items from stick to fill building needs (Copy paper, light bulbs, cafeteria supplies, custodial supplies, etc...)
    12. Makes short runs to assist in emergency deliveries and pick-ups.
    13. Maintains the delivery vehicle.
    14. Is available to help on short notice.
    15. Assists with snow removal as directed.
    16. Follows work order procedures as established by the District.
    17. Understands that schedules or duties can be changed at any time by approval of Building Administrators or the Director of Operations.
