The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a seasonal Forklift Stacker to perform stacking of product safely, properly, and adhere to all directives given for daily functions and other duties assigned. This role will be responsible for put away and transfer of stock from one location to another using a variety of different forklift types, including electric and propane lifts at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a seasonal, union position, supporting our fresh pack season, typically June – October.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pre/post inspections of PIT
- Reports issues with PIT; if a PIT cannot be operated due to safety concerns, Operator must immediately report issue to leadership, leadership will assist finding the operator another PIT.
- Experience operating PIT in different environments. The operator must have the ability to operate inside or outside during their shift, leadership will provide area daily as to where operator is performing their duties.
- Operates a PIT with multiple cart count when given direction.
- Meets put away standards daily and attends all pre-shift and toolbox topic meetings.
- At least 3 years of forklift experience and able to pass a forklift skill assessment by a TomaTek trainer.
- Able to read and speak English.
- Requires clear and concise communications skills and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and work in different weather conditions.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
The wage is $18.59.
