Job Description

SUMMARY
The Driver is responsible for the delivery of the merchandise to Customers within expected time parameters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Deliver merchandise according to the pre-determined route.
• Unload correct merchandise and check order, noting any corrections.
• Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day.
• Communicate with the Manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day.
• Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization.
• Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations.
• Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards.
• Effectively communicates to customers and all levels of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

External Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Valid CDL (A or B)driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience
• Ability to comply with all DOT regulations as required, including maintaining a current DOT required Medical Certification at all times.
• Ability to maintain a good driving record while employed
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting of 50 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
• Required to use Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, etc.)
• Comprehend all Company safety requirements as well as job site safety
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
