Description/Job SummaryOperate a variety of heavy equipment including, but not limited to, trackhoe, loader, backhoe, bulldozer, dump truck, tamper, and water truck.Responsibilities/DutiesMust be willing to travel if required.Conduct routine inspections on equipment including moving parts, welds, and structural integrity prior to operating. Inform supervisor of all defects and malfunctions.May assist mechanic in repairing equipment.Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.Monitor gauges and other indicators ensuring safe operation.Grade, shape, and form work area.Backfill, spread fill, stabilize stone, load trucks and dump buckets, transport dump buckets, and move equipment - including rigging and attaching equipment to bucket hook.Utilizes trench box, sloping, sheeting and/or shoring in excavations over five feet in depth.Adhere to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.Maintain records of time worked and materials used.When not operating, servicing or repairing equipment, may assist in other operations as designated by supervisor.Other duties may be assigned.Required QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED plus one (1) to three (3) months of related experience or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.DetailsWho We AreWith over 99 years of higher education, healthcare and bridge/utility experience, T.
