We’re hiring immediately - be a part of our vital mission! Vitalant is currently seeking Union (Teamsters 249) Drivers to help our dedicated team provide blood to patients in Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area. Our route delivery drivers are the face of Vitalant when they are interacting with our vendors and assisting blood drives!
As a member of our Union Driver team with Teamsters 249, you’ll use your communication and customer service skills to build relationships with hospital/vendor staff as you deliver and transport blood and blood product, as well as play an active part in the setup and takedown of mobile blood drives.
A successful Driver will also use exceptional problem-solving skills to be able to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise and report any issues to management. Every day you’ll also be making a measurable difference by being a part of our organization’s mission to help save lives!
What to Expect
Pay: New hiring rate!! $19.75 Hourly + Shift Differentials & Weekend Shift Premium
Schedule: Full-time only, Hours and Days Will Vary, Flexible Schedule is Required (May Include All Shifts - No Set Schedule)

Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, unless already possess DOT Medical Card (as well as maintain DOT requirements)
Must be able to lift 50-75+ lbs, with the assistance of hand cart. Heavy lifting/loading/unloading is required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include all shifts.
Must have or obtain PA Child Abuse and Federal Clearances within first 30 days of employment.
Has at least 6 months customer service experience (required)
Driving experience w/ company vehicle preferred
