Material Handler/Driver (non-CDL)

Warehouse Material Handler
5AM-1:30PM and 1:30PM-10PM
JOB SUMMARY:
The Material Handler is responsible for manually loading and loading materials from the warehouse to production. The heaviest is 50 pounds to lift several times. The Material handler will drive the box truck locally, to deliver products between company buildings (less than 4 miles apart). The material handler will also load and unload the truck by hand or use warehouse tools and equipment and place the materials in the appropriate location for processing. The incumbent will also move the materials within the production areas and make them ready for production without delays. Forklifts are sit-down, stand-up, electric and gas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lots of lifting and moving products by hand or pallet jacks.
• Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures while driving
• Verifies the contents of loads and follows Good Manufacturing Practices as well as Food Safety while transporting the material
• Loads and unloads truck and moves products to and from storage or production areas, by hand or using trucks, hand operated pallet jacks, forklifts or other equipment
• Sorts bulk product before loading and unloading.
• Returns unused product back to the warehouse and confirms that the boxes are properly sealed and labeled.
• Records numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Checks continually for damaged products, removes the damaged boxes and notifies manager.

QUALIFYING SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to be forklift certified - we will certify.
• Must have 5 years clean driving record and driving experience in the USA
• Must be at least 25 years old due to insurance to drive the vehicle
• Must have knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations and similar understanding surrounding local driving.
• Must be able to perform considerable use of arms and legs and move the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
