JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Director, Enterprise Technical Platform Delivery will represent Digital Technology by leading the delivery of Solution Development of Enterprise Tech Platforms. This position will play a pivotal role in delivering enterprise-wide digital back-end services. The incumbent will lead the engineering, technical delivery, and support & operations of cloud-based ERP platforms. The position will have ownership for the direction of Enterprise Platform technical capabilities and will partner with the Business leadership, Enterprise Digital Products, and Enterprise Architecture, in driving the digital transformation. The role requires understanding of business issues/ opportunities, and work with various business stakeholders in problem solving, creating business capabilities, and defining effective and efficient technology solutions for solving business problems and enabling business capabilities. The incumbent will require to possess experience with a wide range of technologies/protocols, and a robust background in Cloud ERP platforms, and digital solution development. This leader must possess strong experience in developing ERP, digital solutions, program and roadmap as well as strategic partnership skills, change leadership skills, and develop outstanding working relationships with peers in Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership and innovation across specific aspects of solution development for enterprise tech platform teams.
  • Leadership and oversight to the software engineering function that delivers enterprise-wide digital back-end services supporting Cloud ERP and other digital products.
  • Accountable for driving the platform strategy and solutions that address business needs, working with Digital Product Teams, Data teams, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Engineering, and Infrastructure & Operations.
  • Accountable for delivering enterprise-wide digital back-end services for ERPs.
  • Define strategy for design of Oracle and Cloud platforms with an emphasis on consistency and reusability to allow for more effective use across enterprise.
  • Bring ideas and innovation in the latest changing digital technology landscape applying the concept to the enterprise platform organization and act as a principal technology advisor to the team.
  • Maintain large scale enterprise-side platforms/applications with managed service partners, mature platform support, operations including Oracle Fusion Apps and non-oracle ERP platforms.
  • Strategic thought leader and influencer for the large platform support & operations team.
  • Drive benefit realization and delivery of enterprise tech platforms in alignment with the strategic goals of Digital Technology and S-W leadership.
  • Strategic thought leader to drive the Experience, Microservices, Event-based integrations, Data management and the system of record applications such as Oracle fusion cloud, other large enterprise applications through Digital Integration Layer.
  • Apply service mindset to large cloud ERP platforms and deliver reusable technical services, extensions and integrations.
  • Technical leadership to coach and cultivate modern software architecture practices and agile processes.
  • Communicate effectively with key constituents to reinforce the technology standardization and benefits of adopting standard patterns, and reference architecture.
  • Define, communicate, and improve key metrics which focus on and demonstrate advancement against the KPIs/ OKRs. Manage and evaluate the total cost of ownership.
  • Lead teams in managing 24/7 global support & operations.
  • Ensure a detailed succession plan is in place for both individuals and skills to ensure sufficient staff depth is in place to meet the needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business).

Preferred:

  • MBA.

Knowledge and Experience:

Required:

  • 12+ years of IT experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in Digital Technology, building and leading enterprise business applications or ERP implementations.
  • 10+ years leading a team of direct reports.
  • 5+ years of digital product/platform leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership roles in large ERP or other application platform implementation utilizing modern digital principles (microservices, event driven, cloud-native platforms/ technologies).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing digital development teams and developing digital ERP & related technologies strategy.
  • Extensive experience in multiple fields including, but not limited to: Digital, ERP, key business domains, and data.
  • Experience in systems/ software development methodologies, Event-based and Service Architecture, APIs/ Integrations.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong experience in Oracle ERP/ Cloud Platforms, and Support Operations.
  • Experience in the development and planning of large-scale strategic IT platforms, such as ERP, CRM, other etc.
  • Strong experience in leading delivery of back-end Digital Services.
  • Significant experience supporting large or complex multi-functional and multi-divisional projects, including business or system integrations, acquisitions or rationalizations.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of existing, new, and emerging technologies and being able to practically adopt them to business, information models, and enterprise needs.
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, P&L management, organizational planning, onboarding, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Experience leading change initiatives in a matrix organization.
  • Proven experience effectively communicating to business domain stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Significant experience creating and delivering performance appraisals, goal setting and KPI development.

Preferred:

  • Oracle fusion ERP implementation experience.
  • Significant project management and leadership experience.
  • Previous experience managing personnel in multiple global regions.
  • Good understanding of some of the business processes within Oracle ERP/ SCM; including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Assets, Planning Manufacturing Inventory, Supply Chain.
