Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Monday - Friday; 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Summary:
Pick cases of product from the warehouse, and prepare them for shipment.
Collect and organize customer orders and ship them via small parcel or LTL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurately pick products by matching item numbers, product descriptions and recording lot numbers on the pick sheet
Hand shrink wrap customer orders weigh (pallet) and move completed order to the loading dock staging area using electric pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment
Report all product discrepancies or quality issues to supervision including damaged product or equipment issues
Place single packages and/or bags of labeled spices into boxes for small parcel shipment
Tape packed boxes or cases sufficiently for shipment
Use of ERP system to select allocate and fulfill to remove product from inventory
Process orders through the FedEx or UPS small parcel system
Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean environment to include general housekeeping duties
Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.
Ability to read and communicate in English to warehouse staff or other departments
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other related software
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Six months of experience in warehouse operations preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Physical Demands:
Standing for up to 6 to 8 hours
Bending and light to heavy lifting
Repetition of tasks
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted Working Environment
Climate controlled manufacturing environment
Exposure to airborne particles
