Job Summary:
True Legacy Homes is seeking a dedicated and organized Donations Team Driver/Mover Manager to lead a small team of Donations Team Drivers/Movers. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the operations of the donations team, ensuring efficient movement of donation items and debris. This role involves maintaining clean and organized work vehicles, delivering excellent customer service, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Donations Team Driver/Mover Manager (Temporary - Up to 6 months)
Wage Scale: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Schedule: Mon-Fri: 7:00 am-3:30 pm, Sun: 1:00 pm-7:00 pm
*Subject to change based on organizational needs.
Reports To: District Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supply Management
- Review each team’s equipment checklist to determine necessary supplies.
- Load donation team truck with required supplies.
- Email the supply list to the District Manager for order replacement.
- Distribute supplies to each team as trailers are relocated.
Logistical Coordination
- Ensure the timely and efficient moving of POD trailers to their assigned locations.
- Check QuickBooks schedule notes made by the District Manager and/or Regional Operations Manager.
- Assist in moving trailers to new estate sale locations if necessary.
Fleet Management
- Perform daily general safety inspections of donation/work trucks.
- Inspect interior, exterior, brakes, headlamps, and taillights; report any mechanical malfunctions or other problems to the District Manager.
- Ensure routine vehicle cleaning, fueling, and maintenance.
- Maintain required documentation in vehicles.
- Schedule fleet maintenance and repairs with the District Manager.
- Proactively manage potential issues.
- Support the main office with all fleet-related operational matters.
- Update maintenance logs regularly.
- Conduct vehicle accident investigations and report findings to the District Manager, Regional Operations Manager, and corporate office.
- Review donation schedules and plan routes for efficient pickups.
- Confirm weekly donation schedule with the Client Coordinator.
- Communicate with the main office for any route changes.
- Work with the main office to optimize routes.
Donations & Debris Removal
- Ensure all collected donation/debris bins are returned to the office.
- Verify lockboxes are returned to their designated place at the office.
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
- Send donation/debris paperwork to the Client Coordinator by the required cut-off date and time.
- Assist the estate sales team with the breakdown and cleanup at the conclusion of estate sales.
- Participate in Zoom and/or office meetings with the Regional Operations Manager, District Manager, and Client Coordinator.
Customer Service and Security
- Maintain vigilance and awareness of security issues within the donation and estate sales operations.
- Alert the District Manager of potential security concerns and assist in addressing them.
- Be cross-trained to support multiple areas of the estate sales division.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
- No vehicle-related suspensions/reinstatements; no DUI, reckless, or felony driving within the last 7 years.
- Knowledge of respective territory and surrounding areas.
- Ability to communicate with and relate to diverse staff and clients professionally.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of 2-3 Donations Team Drivers/Movers.
- High level of integrity.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of commercial driving experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent travel within the county and occasionally to neighboring counties.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs.
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, fingers, and upper body.
- Ability to see and read computer screens, small electronic devices, and maps.
- Ability to detect specific noises for proper equipment operation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
- Work may involve exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, loud noise, or chemicals.
