We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Barricade Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering, setting up, and removing barricades and traffic control devices at various job sites to ensure public and worker safety. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:
- the ability to work safely, with or without supervision
- the ability to safely operate company vehicles (e.g., pickup trucks or flatbeds) to transport barricades, cones, and other traffic control equipment to job sites.
- the ability to load and unload equipment, ensuring all items are securely fastened during transport.
- the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing
- the ability to inspect vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- the ability to secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
- Set up and dismantle barricades, signs, and other traffic control devices according to site-specific plans and safety regulations
- Completion of low level tasks in support of an assigned department/project
- Create, update, validate and forward various forms of communication to internal and external recipients
- Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project
- Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.
- Prior work related experience
- Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
- Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
