**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery (LDRP)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour days, 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), first to float, every other weekend, holidays as needed
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 3 years in LDRP
**License:** Valid RN license required for submission
**Certifications:** AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, STABLE Certification
**Must-Have:** Proficiency in titrating drips; Comfortable with first-time travelers; Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and triage settings
**Job Description:**
- Work in a unit with 7 Labor & Delivery beds, 12 Postpartum beds, and 8 Surgical beds.
- There is 1 C-Section dedicated OR suite and 2 GYN surgical ORs on the unit.
- Handle a 3-bay triage area with an average of 17 patients per month.
- Manage various obstetric, antepartum, postpartum, and triage cases, including MgSO4, pre-eclampsia, gestational hypertension, and diabetes cases.
- Must be able to titrate common drips including pitocin, magnesium, and occasional insulin drips.
- Administer medications such as procardia, labetolol, TXA for hemorrhage, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, cervidil.
- Participate in reading telemonitor strips during Phase 1 recovery after C-sections.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse who also takes an assignment and attends deliveries.
- Potential to perform scrub duties is preferred, though not required.
- Floating may occur to Pediatric, NICU (feeder-growers), or other units including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, as needed.
- Adhere to provided surgical scrub dress code.
- Participate in a 24-hour unit-specific orientation over two shifts.
- May need to work weekends and holidays as required; schedule details communicated six weeks in advance.
**Additional Information:**
- Ensure patient satisfaction remains high as a department goal.
- Use of the EPIC charting system.
- No call or standby requirement, though additional shifts are optional based on needs.
