RK&K is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Train Control Test & Commissioning Engineer. As a member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to contribute to deployment of a safe and reliable rail and transit system providing oversight of the testing and commissioning of the wayside and onboard train control system. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, high levels of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position will be full time in the project office in Riverdale, MD. Must be flexible in working hours and available to work at night or during weekends as needed to oversee testing.
Essential Functions:

  • Review and approve train control and integration test
  • Oversee execution of on-site train control and integration
  • Review and approve train control and integration test
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve organizational goals and
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to train control testing and commissioning and systems
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of train control testing and commissioning
  • Maintain accurate records and
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and
  • Adapt to changing priorities and
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in railway signaling engineering, verification & validation, testing & commissioning, or maintenance.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex issues involving internal and external interfacing
  • Knowledge of Siemens Trackguard Westrace Mk II and/or Siemens Trainguard MT Zub is a
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications or
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or
