This position is responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum, lactation education and assistance, providing family centered care including the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. Assure expert, compassion, individualize nursing care for patients and families expected. They collaborate with providers, staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Please include supervisory responsibilities. 1.Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patientcare, safety and satisfaction. 2. Demonstratesability to triage incoming patient requests for services. 3. Delivers patienteducation to facilitate plan of care, employer informed healthcare choices, andpromote optimal wellness. 4. Demonstratesability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statue. 5. Demonstratescompetent healthcare assessment skills, prioritizing skills and criticalthinking skills. 6. Demonstratesability to handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications,information and assistance. 7. Administersmedications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures as needed;consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines. 8. Coordinates patientcare with other physician practices, Vail Health and others as needed toachieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction. 9. Demonstrates abilityto work independently with minimal supervision. 10. Delivers excellentservice by utilizing Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety, patientpreferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients andfamilies. 11. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Experience: o One-year clinical experience required. License(s): o Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the our client Colorado or from a valid compact state required. Certification(s): o Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required. Computer / Typing: o Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Education: o Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018. PHYSICAL DEMANDS It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment.
