Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Walnut Creek, CA

**Job Title:** Maternal Child Health RN
**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery - Critical Need
**Job Duration:** 14 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour shifts, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
**License:** Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
**Must-Have:** ACLS certification
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two years) in Labor and Delivery
- One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years
- High-Risk OB experience
**Job Description:**
- Provide exceptional care to maternal and child health patients in a labor and delivery setting.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in labor and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart tones and uterine activity.
- Administer medications and initiate appropriate interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn health.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families during labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Stay current with best practices and updates in obstetric and neonatal care.
