Crane Operator $20/hr - $30/hrREPORTSTO: Fitting Supervisor/On-Site Foreman/Shipyard SuperintendentMAJORRESPONSIBILITIES: Operate various equipment daily to move materials according to the schedule and instruction from the Superintendent, Foreman, or Supervisors. Have an aggressive work ethic with a focus on production.ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSandTASKS:Transfer loads to the construction site and discharge safely.Ability to bind loads to the crane or lifts.Inspect equipment and machinery daily.Keep and update maintenance logs and daily activity logs.Set up equipment based on the load requirements.Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.Follow instructions from foreman/supervisors on site and keep the job site clean.All other duties as assigned based on operational needs.KNOWLEDGE:Previous knowledge and experience as a crane operator or shooting boom forklift.Able to operate 80 ton Grove GRT880 All-Terrain.Able to operate 130 ton Link Belt RTC-8130-2 All-Terrain.Operate various Shooting Boom Forklifts.Operate Skid Steer.Able to safely follow directions with little to no supervision.Work independently and with teams.RequirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:All types of physical movement required for this position to successfully perform the essential functions.Ability to use upper and lower extremitiesAbility to work outside in heat, inclement weather, and coldAbility to crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend around and under equipmentOccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal level of visual acuity needed. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Normal hearing level needed.
