Job Requirements / Description

Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Must have a valid Texas DL and be able to pass the requirements to drive an institutional vehicle
- Leadership or Supervisory Experience a plus
- Logistics experience (preferred)
- Dispatch experience a plus
- Budget experience a plus
- Computer Skills (familiar with Microsoft Excel)
- Experience using courier, dispatch, or logistics software a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Coordinator, Facilities Projects position is to schedule and coordinate courier workflow and activities. Leads Courier Services in the absence of the Supervisor. Assists with courier deliveries when short-handed. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Customer Service - Documents customer comments/problems and refers them to management for follow up. Answers questions and provides directions to patients and visitors.
Operations Management - Receives, distributes, and schedules customer requests for pickup and delivery of packages in accordance with institutional and departmental policies and guidelines. - Builds and coordinates a time-critical operating schedule for pickup and delivery of packages. - Maintains appropriate logs and records of package pickup and delivery information. - Assists Supervisor in analyzing courier pickup/delivery requirements and route development and adjustment. - May operate institutional vehicles while transporting supplies, mail, specimens and/or equipment throughout the institution and to offsite locations as needed. - Informs Supervisor and Manager of operational and personnel issues. -Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
Fleet Management - Determine and communicate the repairs needed for Institutional vehicles in order to maintain the fleet for maximum equipment life. Determine the scope of the repair or maintenance work needed to be done, prioritize the work repair orders and communicate the information to the department manager.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in project related activities, including project management, budgeting and documentation. Bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of required experience on a one to one basis.
