This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As a Production Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Operations team, specifically working within the Production Control team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth flow of materials to our manufacturing work centers, maintaining a steady stream of work for our technicians. You will work closely with various teams, including Production, Planning, Scheduling, Warehouse, Quality Inspection, Purchasing, and Logistics, to coordinate activities and optimize our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Production teams to collect data and discover possibilities for enhancing processes, streamlining the flow of throughput in Work Centers.
- Assist Production teams in identifying and addressing inefficiencies, ensuring the optimization of manufacturing operations.
- Strategically control the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers by coordinating with Planning and Scheduling teams.
- Reconcile any part discrepancies against the request list, promptly ordering replacements or spare parts when necessary.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities, fostering collaboration between warehouse, quality inspection, non-conformance review board, purchasing, and logistics.
- Schedule and facilitate the movement of parts, using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping order requests.
- Work cross-functionally to expedite material shortages, collaborating with Planning and Scheduling and other production areas.
- Monitor and respond to technician parts needs, ensuring timely delivery of replacements, fasteners, shop stock, and smooth movement of assemblies.
- Adhere to part transportation requirements specified on the work order, ensuring strict compliance.
- Monitor the flow and velocity of jobs through the production line, partnering with Planning and Scheduling to ensure on-time completion.
- Track the velocity of the disposition of MRB (Material Review Board) and stranded material.
- Enter material transactions accurately and efficiently in the ERP system.
- Process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP (Work in Progress) locations as required.
- Prepare for, conduct, and assist in the reconciliation of cycle counts.
- Demonstrate knowledge of backflush and Kanban processes.
- Collaborate efficiently with colleagues, ensuring prompt adherence to instructions, and actively seeking out opportunities for process improvement.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in supply chain management or related field.
- Familiarity with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and/or inventory control applications.
- Experience in planning and/or scheduling activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding and application of continuous improvement concepts.
- Ability to earn trust, build positive relationships, and contribute to our culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have lawful status in the U.S.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.
- Willingness to work in various areas that may involve exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals (within safe limits), outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and/or noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Adherence to personal protective equipment requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple duties concurrently, based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and management decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
