YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary:
The DOT Driver is responsible for making timely deliveries to customers on the assigned route in a safe and professional manner.
Job Description:

  • Driving daily Hazmat, Tanker, LTL, or Bulk loads in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
  • Loading and/or unloading of bulk, drummed, totes, or bagged material.
  • Handling, securement, delivery, and pick up of gas cylinders.
  • Liquid transfers (hazardous and non-hazardous) of material from containers or bulk tanker utilizing electric or PTO driven system.
  • Use of drum dollies to move full drums on truck and to customer.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.
  • Follow all operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Reports all non-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulations.
  • Completes all training as required in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
  • Properly use materials such as labels, placards, stenciling and paint.
  • Properly cares for and uses all equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, hoses, etc.
  • Secure dual sign off before transferring any product from one vessel to another.

YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 3 years commercial Class A CDL driving experience in an industrial/chemical environment.
  • Experience with box vans and tankers required.
  • Current Class A CDL wit Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements, clean motor vehicle record, ability to meet DOT requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical evaluation and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to repeatedly bend; lift, push, pull and or move up to 100 pounds; proper lifting techniques required.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in the English language.
  • Comfortable with the use of a Forklift, and general warehouse duties.
  • Knowledge of DOT load securement regulations.
  • Employment is contingent upon completion of background investigation, E-Verify check, and pre-employment drug screening.
