CDL Driver Warehouse

Style Crest Inc. is seeking a versatile CDL Warehouse Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, seamlessly transitioning between warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. Driving responsibilities include transporting goods and products between locations, primarily transfers between warehouses. You'll work closely with our warehouse manager and lead, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Additionally, your driving skills will come into play when you step in to cover for our truck drivers as needed.
Responsibilities

• Inspects vehicle equipment and supplies such as brakes, steering, lights, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, coupling devices, wheels and rims, emergency equipment, lubricants, fuel, and coolant; and repairs, replenishes, or reports defects or shortages
• Checks paperwork to ensure that it is complete and matches dispatch. Inspects load to insure it matches dispatch and is secure before moving trailer
• Safely drives vehicle to and from destination following most efficient route and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• When spotting at dock; performs pre-trip inspection on trailer prior to spotting, lowers lift gate if necessary, opens doors, safely positions vehicles at the assigned dock, places wheel chocks, cranks landing gear down and unhook air lines and fifth wheel
• When pulling from dock: verifies that all personnel are clear of the trailer, dock plate is pulled and warehouse door is closed; hooks fifth wheel, air lines and electrical lines; removes wheel chocks; closes door; raises lift gate if lowered; safely moves vehicle to assigned parking place; checks trailer tires, wheels, lights and mud flaps; lowers landing gear; unhooks electrical lines, air lines and fifth wheel
• Completes all driver and vehicle paperwork by recording mileage and duty status and prepares inspection reports and incident/accident reports in compliance with state and federal regulations and company policy
• Attends and participates in company safety activities
• Acts as a warehouse person when needed. Must maintain a forklift license. Performs housekeeping and maintenance duties as directed
• Order fulfillment - pulls orders for delivery when needed
• Handles customer pick ups
• Drives company CDL truck for deliveries to customers when required by management
• Unload inbound product materials receiving and monitors all damages/shortages/overages and completes all required paperwork accurately, timely.
• Properly receiving shipments and putting away materials
• Assists in inventory and cycle counts
• All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must have proper driver CDL license and meet all DOT driver requirements
• Must have clear MVR driving history
• Previous driving experience required; 1 to 3 years minimum preferred experience
• Prior warehouse experience
• Experience using RF scanner/guns
• Forklift experience
• Customer service experience
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds

This is an on-site position at the Fremont, OH distribution center. This position is typically scheduled Monday through Friday on 1st shift position from 6am to 2:30pm.
