Job Description
Position Overview:
In this position Co-worker operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements. This position is viewed as a step position into a Lead role. Incumbent will be assessed as lead roles become available.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management and computer interface.
• Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished product.
• Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner.
• Visually Inspects skid quality before loading onto trailer
• Transfers goods to staging or storage areas.
• Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customer's delivery requirements.
• Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
• Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies.
• Effectively communicates with all internal departments.
• Completes fork lift pre shift inspection(FCD-1475 Rev.2)
• Removes/Reworks any damaged product on pallets.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
• Follow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines.
• Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as assigned.
• Ability to work every Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 5:00pm. Breaks and lunch according to ARP Franklin policy.
o 8 hour shift team members - two (2) 10 minute rest breaks and one (1) 20 minute meal break per shift
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Qualifications:
• EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A valid driver's license and forklift certification are required. The forklift certification must meet OSHA requirements and is required to perform the essential duties of this job.
