Delivery assistant/warehouse associate
Summary: Otto is hiring for a Delivery Assistant at the Brooklyn, NY location. Employee will be a hybrid between assisting the Delivery drivers as well as warehouse associate. Employee will need to be able to assists delivery drivers or assist in the warehouse operations side.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Delivery Driver on making deliveries.
• Occasionally Operate 16' Box Truck to make on time deliveries
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Occasionally assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping/receiving documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to always ensure a safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some experience driving Box truck on NYC streets.
• Proven experience with GPS and Delivery Software
• Understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery in a controlled, precise manner.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to support Delivery demands.
• Ability to work 6 days a week and 10-hour days
• Must get medical Card from Doctor (DOT requirement)
