Position Summary
Ecology Auto Parts is a reputable and environmentally conscious automotive recycling company committed to providing sustainable solutions for the automotive industry. We are currently seeking an experienced End Dump Truck Driver with a HAZMAT endorsement to join our team. As an End Dump Truck Driver at Ecology Auto Parts, you will play a vital role in transporting automotive materials and recyclable products between our facilities in Colton, CA and Arizona. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate an end dump truck while adhering to all traffic regulations and maintaining a high level of professionalism. This position requires a HAZMAT endorsement, as you will be responsible for the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with DOT regulations. You will work closely with our logistics team and follow assigned routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate an end dump truck, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Transport various automotive materials and recyclable products between Ecology Auto Parts facilities in Colton, CA and Arizona.
  • Secure and safely load and unload materials onto the truck, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, conducting routine inspections and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Adhere to all company and DOT safety regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including logs, trip reports, and delivery receipts.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, providing updates as needed.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and fellow team members.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility throughout all job duties.
Requirements
Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate an end dump truck safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow assigned routes and schedules.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to operate the vehicle; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation
The End Dump Hazmat Driver position offers a competitive salary range of $67,600.00 to $88,400.00 per year, based on experience and performance. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage. The final compensation package will be contingent upon the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills, reflecting our commitment to providing a rewarding and competitive remuneration to attract top talent in the industry.
