Job Summary
The IT Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to PMBOK methodologies in order to meet expected timelines, scope, and budget
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Independently manage medium to large sized projects concurrently from start to finish
• Coordinate efforts of team members, vendors, and third-party resources in order to deliver projects
• Plan, organize, and manage project resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project tasks objectives
• Support senior level project managers on more complex projects
• Use technology to lead virtual and in person meetings
• Document all project activities using the established process, procedure, and related templates within the IT PMO
• Mentor/educate general staff on project management processes and methodologies
• Research new techniques within the field of project management, for continuous improvements
• All other related assigned duties
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• + 2 years of Project Manager implementation experience
Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations
• ITIL and PMP Preferred
Skills and Abilities
• PMP Certification a plus
• Proven ability to perform Risk Management, Issue Management, and Schedule Management
• Must be able to analyze problems and draw conclusions using sound judgement
• Healthcare Project Management experience helpful
• Demonstrated experience using PMIS, Project Server, MS Project, Sharepoint, Service Now
• Knowledge of MS Office, web technologies, and technology general, is helpful
• Experience using PMI (PMBOK) methodology
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position has much interaction with various hospital departments, medical staff, technical personnel at TTUHSC and PNS
Physical Capabilities
Work is medium demand; walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting of equipment weighting up to 50 pounds. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills for typing. Talking and hearing is essential for this role
