Job Title: Forklift Operator - Days
Job Description
We are seeking experienced forklift operators to supply assemblers with materials for production and transport completed parts to shipping for delivery. You may also work in the shipping/receiving area to load trucks with completed parts for shipment. Candidates must be able to operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts depending on the area they are assigned. Strong sit-down forklift experience will be considered, but candidates must be willing to train on a stand-up forklift.
Responsibilities
Supply assemblers with materials for production
Transport completed parts to shipping for delivery
Load trucks in the shipping/receiving area with completed parts for shipment
Operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts
Essential Skills
Experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts
Proficiency in warehouse shipping and receiving
Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively
Material handling experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Candidates must pass a forklift test to demonstrate their ability to operate necessary equipment safely and effectively
Willingness to train on a stand-up forklift if primarily experienced with sit-down forklifts

Work Environment
This is a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment with tight quarters, requiring strong attention to safety. The facility is not climate-controlled, so it can be warm in the summer and cool in the winter. This is a union environment where candidates will be expected to pay union dues once converted to a full-time employee, though dues are not required during the contract period. First shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:30am-5:00pm, with potential overtime up to 2 hours after your shift and some Fridays and Saturdays.
