TCAH's mission is to empower its neighbors to lead healthier, more productive, and self-sufficient lives by increasing their access to nutritious food and related resources. TCAH's programs and services include on-site SNAP and healthcare enrollment, benefits access, job referrals, assistance with applications for city services including housing, workforce development programs for youth, a client choice superpantry, inter-generational nutrition programs, urban farming and farmer's markets, Cafe and community food distribution. Overview
Responsible for transporting goods from one place to another using medium-weight trucks. Operates trucks with a capacity of 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight or less, and with a lift gate with a maximum capacity of 10,000 pounds.
The warehouse worker will help to organize the warehouse, help with organizing orders, ensuring items are packed and dispatched in a timely manner. You are responsible for doing your part in ensuring the warehouse is functioning efficiently.

Position Requirements
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
Transportation and Delivery:
- Safely deliver goods using a medium to lightweight truck, including intercity and interstate routes.
- Efficiently load and unload cargo using the liftgate, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Accurately document cargo received and delivered, obtaining necessary signatures.
- Collect and maintain customer sign-in sheets for each delivery.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any incidents encountered on the road.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, completing electronic logs as required.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as refueling, cleaning, and washing the truck.
- Drive long distances in varying traffic conditions while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Follow accident procedures in the event of an incident.
- Take special precautions to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to optimize fuel consumption and meet delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to organize orders for pickup and delivery.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including organizing inventory, operating pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Report any warehouse issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Professionalism and Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about best warehouse practices and procedures to continuously improve performance.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the vehicle is emptied upon return to the warehouse, with clear communication if exceptions arise.
- High school graduate or GED
- Class D or higher Drivers license
- OSHA Forklift Certification
- OSHA Pallet Jack Certification
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently & with a team
- Good physical endurance and stamina
- Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
