Location: Houma, LA

Position Overview: A Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment used for moving, lifting, and manipulating necessary materials and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move, lift, and manipulate materials and personnel as required.
• Ensure all operations are performed in compliance with safety protocols.
• Understand and utilize OSHA hand signals.
• Be knowledgeable about equipment-rated capacities, load ranges, and safety factors.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Qualifications:

• Certification in the safe and proper operation of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience in a similar position preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA hand signals.
• Knowledge of equipment-rated capacities, load ranges, and safety factors.

Skills:

• Proficiency in operating forklifts, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to use OSHA hand signals effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and safely.
