**Must-Have:**
- Triage, labor and delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn stabilization, and newborn care experience.
- Ability to titrate drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, insulin, TXA).
**Job Description:**
- Work in a unit with 4 labor and delivery beds, separate from postpartum beds.
- The unit does not have OR suites for C-sections; these are handled elsewhere.
- The team occasionally uses one L&D room for triage purposes.
- Postpartum unit includes 4 beds.
- Handle 0-4 births/day, averaging 40-50 births/month, with 554 births in 2022.
- Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.
- Care for common diagnoses such as term labor, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, induction of labor, spontaneous rupture of membranes (SROM), term newborns, late preterm newborns, and newborn jaundice.
- Provide care for infants 35 weeks and above. Infants under 35 weeks are transferred; those between 35-37 weeks are evaluated, stabilized, and sometimes retained.
- Nursing aids are part of the staff and work 12-hour shifts, although not daily.
- On-call OB/Neonatologists and Pediatricians, with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and providers available.
- Utilize Neopuff, CPAP, and high-flow equipment when needed.
- Use GE monitors for electronic fetal monitoring systems and Obix for documentation.
- Charge nurses ideally work outside of staffing but may take assignments.
- No in-house Anesthesia; on-call service is available.
Applicants are encouraged to have experience in charge roles, though it is not mandatory.
