Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Ellsworth, ME

**Certifications:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- STABLE (must complete within 30 days of start)
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with all phases of Labor, Postpartum care, and care of well babies
- Ability to manage epidurals and intrathecal spinal analgesia
- Comfort in neonatal care, including shoulder dystocia management and care of newborns with conditions such as hypoglycemia and bilirubin issues
- Readiness to assist in C-sections to provide neonatal care
**Job Description:**
- Perform patient care in a Level III Nursery with 200 births per year; manage a low risk patient population transferring high-risk patients
- Oversee Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care
- Handle post-partum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, HELLP, and care of NAS and bilirubin babies, as well as feeders/growers
- Manage average patient ratios according to guidelines:
- 1:2 for Laboring
- 1:1 for Active Labor
- 1:3-4 for Couplets
- 1:2-3 for Medical/Surgical patients
- Provide support on the unit, working with 2 to 3 nurses overnight and with additional staff as needed
- Utilize Cerner as the charting system
- Float tasks to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Departments without taking patient assignments
- Participate in a weekend rotation every other weekend and fulfill holiday working expectations every other holiday
- Adhere to the dress code requiring professional scrubs, with procedural scrubs provided for OR activities only
