Position Overview:A ready mix driver is not your typical driving position. Instead of being on the road all week away from home, hauling the same route, and seeing the same people, you get to experience short-haul delivery. You get to be home at night. You get to be a part of building bridges, houses, roads, buildings , and anything and everything in between. You will never be bored hauling to different contractors and projects every day. You are responsible for checking for concrete quality and maintaining courteous customer relations. The ready mix driver is a full-time position and requires overtime with occasional Saturdays through peak season. Complete drum rinse upon returning to plant and perform required drum chippingWear appropriate personal protection equipment when necessaryConsistently keep equipment or plant clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency (i.e. sweeping, picking up items on the floor, shoveling, cleaning glass, moving tools, etc.)Process the required paperwork throughout the day (time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets)Cross-train on topics such as dispatch, batching, mechanics, etc.Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and managementAdditional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustiveWillingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work.
