Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Los Angeles, CA

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years; at least 4 years in Labor & Delivery preferred
**License:** Required to submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with high-risk deliveries
- Familiarity with medications like Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin drips
- C-section experience required, with circulating and scrubbing preferred
- Ability to float to antepartum
**Job Description:**
- Work in a Labor & Delivery/Perinatal Unit with 11 L&D beds and 8 triage beds
- Oversee approximately 3,300 births annually
- Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios
- Utilize Fetal Link for fetal monitoring and Cerner for EMR charting
- Coordinate with OB techs for scrubbing in C-sections, triage, and supply stocking
- Conform to weekend requirement of every other weekend and mandatory call duty with a 30-minute response time
- Fulfill holiday obligations including one major and one minor holiday
- Work with OB attending and 24/7 resources, including pharmacy and Respiratory Therapy
- Coordinate care for patients 20 weeks and above; manage high-risk cases involving blood pressure issues, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, and substance abuse
- Participate in 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
- Job location is part of the 13th largest center for births in California
- Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment
