About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler (Crane Operator) to join our team at Sugar Steel Corporation in Chicago Heights, IL. As a vital member of our operations, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient handling of materials for our steel manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes to move and position raw materials and finished products
• Inspect and maintain crane equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Load and unload materials from trucks and railcars
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Valid crane operator certification or license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
