Job Title: CDL Driver
Location: NY, NJ, CT, PA (Various Locations)
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $30 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver to join our team and support the distribution of hardwood floor materials across multiple locations in NY, NJ, CT, and PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to restock our store and warehouse locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and handling unloading duties from the tractor trailer. Duties include unloading materials, maintaining inventory, and performing general warehouse tasks. Candidates should have a valid CDL license, relevant driving experience, and strong organizational skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a CDL-compliant truck to deliver hardwood floor materials to 4-5 store locations each night within the designated states (NY, NJ, CT, PA).
- Efficiently unload materials from the tractor trailer at each store location using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Plan and execute nightly routes to ensure timely delivery and restocking of materials. Adjust plans as needed based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork including delivery confirmations, logs, and inspection reports.
Qualifications:
- Possess a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a CDL driver, preferably in delivering materials or similar roles.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials weighing up to 50 pounds and handle unloading tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and follow detailed instructions.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
Additional Information:
- Overtime and additional shifts may be required based on business needs.
- A company vehicle and equipment for unloading will be provided.
