The Position: The Director of Business Enablement and Delivery plays a pivotal role in steering King Arthur Baking toward achieving operational excellence through matured delivery processes and enhanced approaches to key initiatives, particularly SAP RISE/S4HANA. This candidate will have prior experience leading organizational adoption by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as an approach for product and program development and delivery, as well as complementary project and program management frameworks and tools for management of key initiatives. This role will have the ability to influence at all levels of the organization through a combination of deep operational, technical and process knowledge as well as organizational and communication savvy. The Director of Business Enablement and Delivery will be passionate about fostering an environment that encourages innovation, process improvement, and organizational change management, ensuring that the delivery teams are well-supported, and the organization continues to realize sustainable growth.

The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction VT 2 days per month. Ideal candidates will be located within a 2–3-hour drive of our offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, guide and mature organizational capabilities aimed at advancing business agility of through formal and informal education, coaching, and consultation, while providing adaptability informed by the SAFe framework that allows teams to deliver business value without compromising KAB teamwork standards
  • Leverage design thinking methods to facilitate, articulate, and align on business problem definition and solution design among cross functional stakeholders
  • Ensure business functional requirements are eloquently translated to technical teams for development.
  • Serve as a leader during fit-to-standard workshops and drive solutioning for established GAPs.
  • Build stakeholder consensus and ensure everyone is on the same page, in agreement, and can understand the solution being proposed.
  • Be a change agent for our SAP S/4 continued transformation.
  • Establish, benchmark and drive maturity across established metrics focused on business growth through delivery of business process improvement, enhancement and optimization within SAP
  • As a leader of people, act in a player-coach capacity, providing coaching and guidance to peers across the organization and delivery teams on an ongoing basis to ensure effective and timely execution of key initiatives
  • Utilize a hands-on approach in working with teams to promote and deploy sustainable continuous delivery activities.
  • Provide project management and leadership to implement pilots and the ongoing rollout of new continuous delivery plans.
  • Properly engage, collaborate, and influence all functions to ensure the continuous delivery strategy is understood and is sufficiently supported by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide change management leadership to ensure we achieve and sustain our targeted performance levels.
  • Collaborate with peers across IT leadership to ensure the proper structure, roles, responsibilities, and training is in place to set our teams up for success in achieving organizational goals
  • Establish communication goals and processes for internal Business and IT departmental communication, cross-team communication
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional leaders to drive the best business outcomes (IT, Commercialization, Operations, Data, Finance, Brand, Sales, etc.)
  • Utilize deep knowledge of project management tools and their capabilities to enhance our portfolio, program, and project management effectiveness

Experience and Education

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and supporting ERP systems, including solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, terminology, and methodologies
  • Deep business process knowledge of key areas such as Master Data Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Omni Channel Sales and Distribution, Procurement and e-commerce
  • Proven track record working at the intersection where technology meets business
  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build and lead high performing teams, with experience training, coaching and supervising team members
