Job Requirements / Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including but not limited to flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and operating equipment.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
-Hazmat endorsement highly preferred
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with different types of trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and loading/unloading procedures.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
