Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will need to perform a combination of product handling, lift truck operating duties, and quality control assurance. This role will execute the daily receiving, storing, distribution of materials to maintain inventory, and fulfill shipments. The job will require product inspection to ensure that products meet the specified quality standards before they are received and shipped to our internal and external customers.
Scope of job:
Operator's daily requirements are to receive product and perform quality assurance, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Reviews receiving documents, such as packing slips, plan outbound shipments, ensures inventory accuracy, organize storage, and maintain equipment to ensure it is operational. This role involves inspecting incoming finished products, maintaining quality control records, and collaborating with other departments to resolve quality issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand and perform receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties.
- Process order in Parcel shipping station
- Accurate order picking
- Receive product in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean area
- Follow Safety practices
- Meet or exceed KPI's
- Performs pre-operational check of equipment.
- Utilize forklift for more than 70% of a shift to complete duties
- Maneuver safely in/out of aisles and up/down racks with awareness of rack space and others.
- Inspect to quality standards
- Repack product to original conditions
- Maintain organize record keeping
- Communicate with other department to discuss quality issues
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned outside of specialty area.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with operating an Order Picker is required.
- Strong understanding of receiving documentation, quality assurance, and shipping requirements.
- Good computer skills and keyboard proficiency
- Comfortable and fluent with online software programs and interfaces, preferably NetSuite or Oracle.
- Comfortable and willing to embrace change and adapt strategies on the fly.
- Attention to detail, work within a team, and ability to follow directions.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Must be able to effectively communicate via email, chat, video call, over the phone, and face-to-face.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse and quality assurance, or similar.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional) are a plus.
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting at a desk working on a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
