Job Summary:Drivers, packers, and movers have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of clients, helping them navigate the challenges of relocation.Being a Mover is a meticulous job. You must work quickly, and without sacrificing safety in order to get the job done efficiently.Being a strong teamplayer is also a critical requirement for a Mover. Since many jobs require multiple pairs of hands, working together, and communicating keeps items safely delivered to their new destinations.Essential Job Functions:Transporting belongings to their new locationPreparing items for transport by wrapping, packing and paddingLoading items onto a moving vehicleCarefully unloading items from the vehicle and placing them in their designated areasTaking direction from clients regarding the packing and placement of itemsTime management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on scheduleExceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clientsPhysical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicleHonesty & integrity, along with the ability to be trusted handling the personal belongings of othersNon-essential Job Functions:Perform other job duties as assigned.Qualifications:A valid American driver s license, a very good driving record, and at least 3 years of driving experienceAbility to repeatedly lift and carry heavy boxes and furnitureEffective communication skills when interacting with clients and fellow MoversOrganizational capabilitiesAdaptability and problem solving. The ability to think quickly on your feet, and solve problems on the spotBasic knowledge of furniture assembly and disassemblyMeticulous, and very detail-oriented. Moving with great care when packing and loading furniture for safe transportationExcellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locationsThe ability to travel locally for the moving jobs, and be gone for a week at a time, or more.Physical Demands:1. Required to talk, hear, and read with close vision.2. Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle.3. Must be able to lift boxes weighing a maximum of 60 lbs, and must also be able & willing to lift heavier furniture items within a team.
