Job Requirements / Description
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Check Unit Description for requirement)
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Check Unit Description for requirement)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Tech Cert Verification - National
- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Certification Details
- Must be experienced L&D but also capable of working postpartum and nursery, 350 deliveries a year, small unit all nurses are cross trained to all areas of OB.
- 4x12hr Days. Float required. Every other weekend.
- Ratios: Days - 1:3, Nights - 1:2, Weekends 1:6
- Unit DOES NOT accept 1st timers
- Previous Charge exp preferred
- Skills required: Work settings - Antepartum, Facility births/month >300, Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Level I Nursery, LDRP, Mother/Baby
- Antepartum Care and Procedures, Fetal Monitoring, Medication & Administration, Labor and Delivery Management, Newborn Care
