Position Summary: As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Able, you will play a vital role in patient care and transportation. You will be responsible for providing pre-hospital medical care, safe transport, and excellent customer service to our patients. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to healthcare excellence. Responsibilities: • Provide emergency and non-emergency transportation for patients in a safe and timely manner • Administer basic life support (BLS) procedures, such as CPR and first aid, as needed • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth, respectful experience • Conduct patient assessments, perform physical examinations as needed. • Utilize airway management techniques and apply physiology knowledge to ensure proper patient care. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. • Demonstrate proficiency in driving, heavy lifting, and responding to urgent care and ER situations. • Uphold EMT and CPR certifications while delivering high-quality medical assistance. • Provide emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including administering basic life support and critical care transport. Qualifications: • Current EMT certification and CPR certification (BLS) • High school diploma or GED; further education or experience in a medical setting is a plus • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach • Ability to work well under pressure, in various weather conditions, and with a flexible schedule What We Offer: • Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime • Compensation: $18-$23 an hour depending on experience • Shift differential opportunities to earn more on top of your hourly rate • Annual performance reviews for potential base pay increases • Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401k, and PTO (for full-time employees) • Opportunities for career advancement • Paid training and ongoing professional development Schedule: Available for full-time or part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
