Forklift Operator

Working Outside, The Yard Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklift equipment in the loading and unloading of products and other shipment materials while adhering to established safety procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties/Responsibilities

• Work safely and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Responsible for loading trucks with the proper order, promptly.
• Responsible for unloading trucks and putting items away properly.
• Responsible for properly completing all shipping and receiving documents.
• Recording pick sheets/slip changes with product loaded.
• Assistance in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Responsible for reviewing all loads to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Responsible for following all safety and environmental protection rules and procedures.
• Must professionally present him/herself to all customers, always.
• Adhere to all housekeeping rules and procedures for yard and forklift.
• Responsible for completing Forklift Check Sheet, daily.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills

• One year minimum of Forklift operation required.
• Basic math skills
• SAP software and Microsoft Office are highly desirable.
• Good communication skills
• Team player, reliable, and high work ethic.

Licenses or Certificates

• Forklift Certification

Physical Demands

• Driving Forklift
• Work in an outside environment.
• Lifting heavy materials, up to 50lbs
• Walk, stand, sit, climb.
• Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment for self and others

Mental Demands - Must have the ability to :

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education

• High School Diploma preferred.
