GPU Kernel Mode Driver/Firmware Engineer

Description
We are seeking a results-oriented, upbeat, and focused individual with a strong passion to learn and succeed. The GPUSW Kernel/Firmware Team needs a system software engineer to analyze, design, and build Kernel and Firmware drivers for the GPU. As a key member of our team, you will apply your knowledge of low-level system architecture to help the design and delivery of features in memory management, power management, asynchronous command processing, and error concealment for a wide variety of applications from games to machine learning to image processing. You will partner with a world-class team in integrating the kernel and firmware into the graphics platform to maximize the graphic and compute potential for Apple products on iOS and macOS.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical BS/MS degree
- Good Programming skills with knowledge of C/C++
- Understanding of computer system architecture
- Understanding of driver development or operating system concepts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power management and control theory.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
