Crane Operator | 2nd Shift

Metals USA is seeking a Crane Operator for our Randleman, NC location. Metals USA is a leading metals processor/distributor in North America, providing a wide range of carbon steel products and services. Metals USA is a solid, growth-oriented company servicing the defense, commercial construction, and road construction and fabrication industries. The Packer under general supervision performs duties such as receiving, placing/returning items into stock inventory locations.

Responsibilities:

• Locating material allocated to the job and moving that material to the proper machine.
• Staging material coming off the production equipment on the correct skid type, per the work instruction and staging product for shipment.
• Loading trucks and completing all appropriate paperwork.
• Perform sheet pulls when needed.
• Any other duties assigned by Management.

• High School or GED Equivalent
• Basic Mathematics skills
• Ability to read and write English Language
• Ability to understand and use Safety Rules and Procedures, as well as OSHA standards and regulations.
• Must exercise a reasonable degree of judgment and possess the ability to recognize appropriate company policies that apply in each situation and follow them.
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to crane operations.
• Ability to load and unload material using material handling equipment.
• Must be able to read measuring tape and caliper.
